Splitgate is a new game on the horizon that will be powered by blockchain technology. The developers of the game have been working on it for over a year and are now entering into their final stages of development before launching the game in Q3 2019.

Splitgate is a new TV series that has just been released on Netflix. The show follows the story of two young people, who are from different worlds and come together to save humanity from an impending apocalypse.

After years in development, Splitgate has finally been released as a full-fledged shooter. It now has its first display of seasonal content, which will almost certainly become a staple in the Halo meets Portal FPS’s growing popularity. However, since the game is so new, it’s difficult to predict what will happen beyond “Season 0.” That’s why we’ve compiled everything we know so far about Splitgate Season 1 so far.

Recap of Season 1 of Splitgate

Let’s take a look at how Season 0 has altered Splitgate thus far before we get into the details of the upcoming season. Season 0 began on August 25, 2021, and continues to this day. Karman Station, a reworking of the Outpost layout from the original Alpha, was one of the new maps featured.

Season 0 offers a paid system for the first time, while Splitgate Version 1.0 featured a barebones combat pass. A 100 Tier system that includes weapon and armor skins, in-game money, resources, XP bonuses, and many other treasures has replaced the restricted levels and so-so-free goods. It costs 900 Splitcoins, which can be bought in 1,000-coin bundles for $10.

Contamination and Casual Team Rumble are two new gamemodes introduced this season. Contamination is the basic Humans vs. Zombies scenario, in which you fight zombies with shotguns. If you die, you will reappear as a Contaminated player, and the only way to win is to infect all other players or have the humans live until time runs out. Casual Team Rumble is similar to Halo’s Action Sack, in that it compiles a playlist of crazier gamemodes.

Finally, this release included a slew of preliminary modifications, including several quality-of-life improvements:

  • Aim Help Slider – Increase or decrease the amount of aim assist.
  • Overtime — Overtime is now available in King of the Hill, VIP, and Oddball.
  • Completing all of the Daily Challenges results in a decrease.
  • Searching and filtering have been introduced to the Custom Games Browser.
  • Allies’ bodies may now be used to create portals.
  • In all modes, Killcam is enabled.
  • Team switching is a feature in custom games that allows players to swap teams during a match.

When does Splitgate Season 1 premiere?

Season 0 has been airing for little over a month, but we’re all excited to see what Season 1 has in store. At this moment, there has been no official announcement of a release date for the next season. Splitgate’s seasons are expected to last 3-4 months, based on the seasonal schedules for comparable live service games like Destiny 2 and Fortnite. As a result, we should expect a seasonal upgrade around November or December.

Keep in mind that Splitgate’s Season 0 is the first official season. The game is being developed by a smaller team, and based on the patch notes and the first announcement, this is almost like a boosted Beta. Expect a little longer time between Season 0 and Season 1 as they continue to fine-tune the game and keep their roadmap on track.

Season 1 Map Updates for Splitgate

Because Season 0 included a redesigned version of the Outpost map with Karman Station, there’s a high possibility they’ll keep up the map modification pattern in the coming seasons. It’s difficult to tell what maps they’ll utilize from previous game versions, but it seems that the 1047 dev team is more concerned with advancements than nostalgia.

That may mean they decide to update existing maps, such as Highwind, to make navigating a little easier. Perhaps they’ll surprise us by adding a whole new map to the queue. Although no official announcement has yet been made, we should expect to see at least one new or updated map.

Season 1’s Splitgate Gamemodes

Season 0 introduced a number of new gamemodes, the majority of which were party-based. However, there’s a possibility that additional eSports-friendly gamemodes may be introduced in the next season. This notion is mostly based on 1047 Games’ recent extra round of financing, as well as comments from the developers stating that they want to be the next Riot Games.

There is clearly a desire to get into the eSports industry, and Splitgate is already closer to doing so than other early games. Next season, don’t be surprised to see more team-based objective or restricted kill scenarios. In addition, a Forge Mode may be coming shortly, at least before Halo Infinite, although that may be after Season 1 is released.

Season 1 Battle Pass for Splitgate

At this moment, there is no information on what will be included with the Season 1 Battle Pass. You may probably anticipate comparable rewards, with some minor tweaks and perhaps a Tier expansion if players reach their maximum level too fast. It’s unlikely to happen in Season 1, but we’ll almost certainly see a more distinctive Battle Pass reward theme at some point.
