The NBA season is finally underway, and this year’s opening night is jam-packed with some of the most intriguing matchups. There are plenty of top teams to watch in the league, but these two games have attracted a lot of attention.
The nba opening night schedule is the perfect time of year to watch some basketball. There are a lot of games on this opening night, including Bucks-Nets and Lakers-Warriors.
The NBA has returned! In a loaded opening night schedule, the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks will play the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night, while the new-look Los Angeles Lakers will face the Golden State Warriors.
Let’s see if we can earn some money with these fantastic games, shall we?
NBA betting odds for the first game

Bucks -1.5, O/U 233.5 Nets against. Bucks Bucks -1.5, O/U 233.5 Bucks vs. Nets Bucks -1.5, O
The defending champions will face the betting favorites to win the championship this season in the first game of the 2021-22 NBA season. You couldn’t ask for a better way to start the year.
The Bucks are now 1.5-point home favorites over the Nets, with a total of 233.5 set. The fact that Milwaukee and Brooklyn were the two highest-scoring teams in the NBA last season explains why the total is so high.
The Bucks -1.5 point spread indicates that these two teams are ranked fairly equally in the market, so this should be an exciting game to kick off the new NBA season.
Warriors vs. Lakers -3 Lakers, 226.5 Over/Under
The late game on Tuesday night has a totally different vibe from the early game. With a total of 226.5, LA begins its season opening as a 3-point home favorite against the Warriors without Klay Thompson. Last season, the Lakers had the league’s second-best defense in terms of points allowed per game, so it’s no surprise that this clash has a considerably lower total.
It’s difficult to anticipate how the Lakers will perform in Game 1 with so many new faces around LeBron James and Anthony Davis, but the Lakers are receiving plenty of respect from oddsmakers.
NBA Opening Night Predictions
Bucks vs. Nets
From start to end, this possible Eastern Conference Finals preview should be a nail-biter. The Bucks want to get off to a good start in their championship defense, while the Nets are out for vengeance after falling to Milwaukee in the playoffs last season.
This season, a 100 percent Nets squad will most certainly be favored against the Bucks, but Kyrie Irving will be unavailable on Tuesday night (and for the rest of the season) due to his refusal to be vaccinated against COVID-19. The Nets have enough offensive firepower to stay up with Giannis Antetokounmpo and company even without Irving.
Give me the NBA’s greatest closer — Kevin Durant — to make a statement in the opening game of the new season in a tight game down the line.
Warriors vs. Lakers
There are a lot of unanswered questions surrounding the Lakers’ and Warriors’ nightcap on Tuesday. How long will this retooled Los Angeles squad take to gel? Will LeBron James be able to have the same offensive effect now that Russell Westbrook has more possessions? Can the Warriors’ potential young guns come up early and fill the hole left by Thompson?
None of these questions will be addressed in one night, but the Warriors should be able to beat a Lakers club that is still figuring things out.
Bucks-Nets and Lakers-Warriors are the best bets.

Many bettors will be delighted to support Milwaukee in this game, since the Bucks will display their 2021 championship banner and present championship rings to the entire team before the game. But we’re heading in the other direction here.
While the Bucks will be reminiscing about their previous triumphs, the Nets will be completely focused on avenging themselves. From the first tip, Brooklyn will be the more committed squad, and putting even more money on the more skilled side in this game is certainly worth a wager.
OVER 10.5 assists +102 for James Harden
Without Irving in the lineup for the foreseeable future, James Harden becomes the offense’s primary creator right away. Harden averaged 10.9 assists per game for Brooklyn last season, and he’ll only get better in 2021-22. Last season, Harden averaged 11.6 assists per game in nine games without Irving on the floor, according to StatMuse.
Getting this line at a good price is a benefit.
+3 to the Warriors
Look, I know everyone is rooting for the Lakers this season, but we need to hold off on awarding them the Larry O’Brien before they’ve even played one game together. For LeBron and Davis, this is a completely different team. It’ll take a few weeks (if not months) to find out how to interact with this group of people. And, particularly this early in the season, I don’t see James and Westbrook meshing well on the court.
On opening night, expect the Lakers to be rusty, while Stephen Curry puts on another one of his legendary primetime performances. This is a game that Golden State has a good chance of winning.
