Apple announces new (PRODUCT)RED iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus

The RED iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus units sold a year ago, but were discontinued after the announcement of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. Last year, the special edition of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus commemorated a 10-year long partnership between Apple and (RED). However, the glossy back panel and aluminum frame comes in stunning red color. Online ordering opens tomorrow, and from April 13, they will be available to purchase in store in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the US. The new colour goes on pre-order Tuesday and is available in stores from April 13, Apple said. However Apple released an iPhone 7 for the first time past year. The iPhone 8 Plus is available at a price of Rs 77,560 for 64GB storage option, while the 256GB version costs Rs 91,110. Last year, Apple had discontinued the (PRODUCT) RED iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus as soon as it revealed the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X in September.

There's plenty of reason to pick up a (PRODUCT) RED iPhone aside from its (very) red color scheme, too. But they both now have that signature red case that has appeared on iPhones and other Apple products since 2006.

RED is their initiative that includes the phones and accessories (cases) where a part of the proceeds goes towards the Global Fund HIV/AIDS grants.
