Wenger angers Arsenal fans after confirming Sanchez & Ozil could leave

Sanchez and Ozil's deals expire in the summer, meaning they could leave Arsenal for free at the end of the season.

As Burt noted, though, much will depend on Arsenal's situation come January and their ability to replace Sanchez, as cashing in on him will hardly be worth it if they miss out on a UEFA Champions League place as a result.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger conceded on Thursday that he may have no option but to sell star players Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil in the January transfer window.

Sanchez has been linked with a number of major clubs, among them Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain. The fact that we didn't find agreement a year ago doesn't mean he wants to leave.

He added: "Both players look happy and overall I hope the situation can be turned around, but at the moment we are not close enough to announce anything".

The Gunners face Watford in their first game after the global break on Saturday lunchtime, but they are dealing with something of an injury crisis.

Six computers mounted in the boot updated the controls up to 100 times a second with the steering position measured to one part in 65,000.

Of Sanchez's potential availability on Saturday against Watford, Wenger said: "I will have to speak with him, I watched the whole game [ against Brazil]".

"That's my understanding, yes", said Wenger.

Chile forward Sanchez, 28, joined Arsenal from Barcelona in July 2014, a year after 28-year-old Germany playmaker Ozil's arrival from Real Madrid.

"Mentally, I will have to assess the situation when he comes back tomorrow (Friday)". "I believe that Jack is in the best form that I have seen him for a long time". I want what is best for him wherever he goes.

Another possible departure from Arsenal in January is Jack Wilshere, after reports indicated he was considering leaving the club in order to force his way into England's World Cup squad.
