Stephen Colbert shares a chardonnay with Hillary Clinton

Earlier this month, Clinton said she wouldn't rule out questioning the legitimacy of the election if the country learns the Russian interference in the election is deeper than known.

Colbert also gave Clinton a packet of the show's unused jokes that they'd written to use if she'd won the election, which hits particularly close to home.

Last night on Stephen Colbert's Late Show, Clinton made her first appearance on the program since losing the election to Donald Trump.

Buried in Hillary Clinton's new memoir, What Happened, is an excerpt from her discarded victory speech that will leave you in tears. "But I think legitimacy is rooted in what comes out of these investigations because if there is evidence of communication, coordination, whatever it might be, then I think millions of Americans would say, 'Well, those raise questions about legitimacy".

Mrs Clinton had plenty to say about the Russian President, who she mocked for sitting with his legs far apart, when she appeared on the USA talk show with Stephen Colbert, giving insight into how their relationship plummeted during her time working for Barack Obama.

The former presidential candidate gave a negative review of Trump's speech to the United Nations general Assembly on Tuesday.

(Clinton) "But you should lead with diplomacy".

During his first address to the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, Trump harshly criticized the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, saying "Rocket Man is on a suicide mission for himself and for his regime".

"Oh my God", Clinton said while laughing and covering her eyes.

The failed presidential candidate also reiterated her profound dislike for both Putin and Trump. "I am not going anywhere", she said - seemingly responding to the unnamed ex-Clinton surrogate who told The Hill, "I wish she'd just shut the fuck up and go away". "But I actually do not think that's how what is happening to our government is going to be stopped", Colbert said.
