Specialists say the three ladies were discovered dead inside the Vanderhall's Hempstead, New York, home of "limit constrain injury" at around 2:15 a.m.

Lt. Stephen Fitzpatrick, commanding officer of the Nassau County police homicide squad, told Newsday (http://nwsdy.li/2vwKGQS ) that Vanderhall's mother had recently kicked him out of the house.

'When he came here last night, the doors were secured and he became enraged, ' said Lt Fitzpatrick.

Bobby Vanderhall, 34, allegedly took a large hammer from Lynn Vanderhall's garage on Perry Street in Long Island around 1.15am and broke through a basement door. "He went to the garage".

A fourth woman was also attacked, but managed to escape the home and call for help.

Police say Vanderhall had a history of emotional problems. "The most lovely memory of my daughter was her smile, her love, she was so protective of me", said Wendy Simpson, the mother of one of the victims.

Vanderhall, who police described as more than six feet tall and at least 230 pounds, was arrested within two miles of the house after police found him asleep in a auto. He was arrested after the police found him asleep in a vehicle, two miles from the house.

He had a record of arrests for drunken driving, drug possession and sexual abuse, according to reports. "These girls don't give problems, these girls just have fun", Simpson said.

Vanderhall was awaiting arraignment on three murder charges and an attempted murder charge.
