Celtic FC considering shock swoop for Leeds United FC star

Fulham’s Scott Malone celebrates after scoring their second goal

Charlie Taylor is to join Burnley from Leeds United this summer, despite having been linked with a switch to Scottish champions Celtic.

The Whites will still be due a fee due to his age - he is under 24-years-old - which will be judged by an independent panel, unless the two sides agree on one first.

According to the Daily Mirror's David Anderson via Twitter, Taylor has agreed to join on a Bosman transfer from Elland Road when his contract is up in a month.

However, despite Taylor making over 100 appearances for Leeds, it has been claimed that Burnley are hoping to complete a deal for around £4m.

West Brom manager Tony Pulis, who has been targeting the left-back for over a year, took a step back in negotiations after not wanting to part with such a large fee for an out-of-contract player.

DUP leader in bid to finalise 'totally transparent' agreement with Theresa May
There were some warnings last week that crisis talks aimed at restoring powersharing may not be resolved by the June 29 deadline. With the support of the 10 DUP lawmakers, May would have a majority if all her lawmakers support her.

"I promise, even if we lose him at the end of the season for free, I'm not selling him".

He is believed to have agreed personal terms with Burnley, although the Clarets have not yet agreed a fee with Leeds.

Meanwhile, as reported on Thursday, Everton are expected to firm up their interest in striker Andre Gray.

However, renewed speculation linking Burnley with Huddersfield Town's Nakhi Wells is again believed to be wide of the mark.
