Boston? Phoenix? Duke's Jayson Tatum awaits NBA Draft fate

Most NBA mock drafts project between 8-10 ACC players to get selected in the first round of the NBA Draft, set to begin on Thursday night. And whichever team drafts him will get someone who is arguably one of the most versatile players in this year's draft.

And the Boston Celtics have created plenty of buzz leading up to the draft.

The Celtics may offer a package of the No. 3 pick, Jae Crowder and a 2018 FRP. On Monday, the deal was made official.

Things had changed by the time Tatum got to town for his latest audition.

Since trading the No. 1 pick in the draft to the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday for the No. 3 pick and a future first rounder, the Celtics have been mentioned in nearly every rumor.

Two US Soldiers Killed By Afghan Soldier, Official Says
May 7, 2016: Two Afghan soldiers killed two Romanian soldiers and wounded another during an attack inside a base in Kandahar . The latest attack comes as US President Donald Trump's administration is considering sending more troops to Afghanistan .

After a long wait, the Boston Celtics just received the medical records from Kansas forward Josh Jackson, but the freshman has yet to work out with the team, according to ESPN Insider Chad Ford. Ask any coach, player or scout about him, and you can bet that one of the first things they will talk about is his pit-bull mentality - Jackson simply wants to win at all costs. The Sixers are expected to take Washington's Markelle Fultz with the first pick.

Jackson said he has spoken with Stevens and some assistant coaches over the phone, but "Danny Ainge himself, I have not spoken with him". "At 6'8" with a high-jumping ability, he can add some much-needed size and rebounding that the Celtics have been lacking. He also showed a better-than-anticipated 3-point shot during his one year in college. Mason's story is as good as there has been during my time covering Kansas and that's what makes it so easy to feel so good for him as he sits on the brink of watching his lifelong dream come true.

The Suns chose Jackson with the fourth overall pick on Thursday. While $2 million doesn't seem like a lot given the current state of National Basketball Association contracts, the drop still could force certain teams to do a little more maneuvering to clear cap space, especially if they intend to pursue a free agent positioned to land a maximum contract.

But there is another option that the Boston Celtics could take and it would not surprise many people. Some of the names thrown around have been Jimmy Butler and Anthony Davis, which both would require more than just the pick to bring the All-Star to Boston.
