Fakhar, Amir script India's downfall as Pakistan lift Champions Trophy

The previous ICC World T20s have been held in South Africa, England, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India

Within three overs, however, their reply was in tatters as Amir produced a devastating spell of bowling.

India are slated to host the ninth staging of the Champions Trophy in four years' time but ICC chief executive Dave Richardson revealed it is far from a certainty.

The Madhya Pradesh police arrested 15 men on Tuesday afternoon from the Burhanpur district for allegedly celebrating Pakistani win over India in the ICC Champions Trophy final, reported PTI. But the thinking for World Cup 2019 must begin nonetheless and there were some pointers from Champions Trophy 2017. Khan told his team could have chased the total of 339 if they wouldn't have lost early wickets, which neither happened by chance nor brilliant bowling from pacer Mohammad Amir.

Barring Bhuvneshwar Kumar, every bowler was thrashed which resulted in Pakistan posting the second highest score in Champions Trophy. After restricting Pakistan to seven for naught in the first three overs, Jasprit Bumrah (0-68) had Zaman (114) caught behind but only to find, he had overstepped.

Fakhar Zaman hit a maiden one-day global century to set up a thrilling victory against India, who had been strong favourites to lift a second successive title. Pakistan outplayed India in all departments to win their maiden title in the tournament history and gave a fitting reply to their critics who were backing defending champions, India, of bagging another title.

"After the India match I said to my boys, the tournament is not finished yet". The way they turned things around speaks volumes of the talent they have in their side.

Senate Republicans Edge Closer to a Deal on Health Care
Two other reasons are tied to the method by which the GOP plans to pass whatever tax reform legislation it winds up crafting. Asked if this is "crunch time", Blunt said yes. "Decisions have to start being made in order to get the package ready ".

Zaman was adjudged the Man of the Match while Hasan Ali was declared the Player of the Tournament.

Earlier, Pakistan made 338 for four after losing the toss with opener Fakhar Zaman's 114 his maiden one-day worldwide hundred in just his fourth match at this level.

Kapoor tweeted: "Yes Pakistan, you have defeated us". However, Babar Azam (46) along with quick fire knocks from Mohammad Hafeez (57 not out) and Imad Wasim (25 not out) ensured Pakistan reached 338 for four in the 50 overs.

"We want to try to be a lot more consistent as a team, but we've got a group of young players here that are fantastic". Hardik Pandya ended up as India's top run-scorer with 76 runs from 43 balls. We've got the monkey off our back in terms of qualifying.

"I'm disappointed but I have a smile on my face because I'm proud of how my team has performed in the tournament overall". We never took anyone lightly. The most successful fingerspinner in that time has been New Zealand's Mitchell Santner, who has taken 44 wickets at an average of 33.77 and conceded runs at an economy rate of 4.99.
